We’ve been running jobs that way since 2011, and Ed Winslow has never once told a crew to cut a corner to make a schedule. That’s not a mission statement. Who We’re Looking For
- Impact Window & Door Installer: Someone who reads a rough opening accurately, takes flashing seriously, and understands that a bad seal is a callback waiting to happen.
- Window & Door Apprentice: A person who shows up on time, pays attention on the job site, and is genuinely interested in learning a skilled trade from the ground up.
- Sliding Glass & Patio Door Technician: Detail-oriented hands who understand track alignment, hardware tolerances, and the difference between “it slides” and “it slides right.”
- Roofing Installer (Shingle, Tile & Metal): Someone with a steady head for heights, a disciplined eye for flashing and underlayment, and no shortcuts when weather protection is on the line.
- Dispatcher / Scheduler: A calm, organized communicator who can juggle job sites, crew availability, and homeowner expectations without losing their cool or dropping a ball.
- Customer Service Representative: A person who listens first, speaks clearly, and takes genuine satisfaction in making sure a homeowner’s question never goes unanswered – because at Winslow, a live person picks up every call.

Apprentices work alongside experienced lead installers from day one, learning product lines like PGT, CGI, CWS, and ECO Window Systems in the field, not just in a manual. The path from apprentice to lead technician is visible and achievable, and we’d rather promote someone who grew up in our system than hire around them.

No Experience? Read This.
If you’ve spent time in general construction, framing, finish carpentry, HVAC, or any trade that requires you to read a level, follow a manufacturer spec, and take ownership of your work, you’re closer to this job than you think. A lot of what makes someone good at installing a ViewLux or ES Windows unit is the same thing that makes someone good at hanging a door or trimming out a window rough opening: patience, precision, and not faking it when something doesn’t look right.
What we teach is product-specific: how our authorized brands are spec’d, how to read a Winslow job packet, how we handle a homeowner walkthrough at the end of the day. The first months are structured – you’ll work alongside a lead, ask questions freely, and build a track record on real jobs. We care far more about how you approach work than what your resume says you’ve touched before.
